Wolfgang Bartsch is a computer scientist and has more than 15 years of operative experience in areas such as image analysis, software engineering, systems architectures, IT and telecommunications. He has led numerous private equity and M&A projects for GlobalFinance.

He was a software engineer and consultant for software design&management AG, a leading German software development company. He then joined CompuServe as Senior Project Manager. As Head of Technical Operations CompuServe/AOL he managed the entire access infrastructure, IT and maintenance/operations of the German CompuServe services, including full budgetary and personnel responsibility. Prior to joining GlobalFinance he co-founded Credigy Marketing GmbH and was Director of Software Development until the company was sold.
